Maryland's premier organization for professionals working in health care strategy and market development.

The result of a merger in 2000 between the Maryland Association for Healthcare Planning and Marketing and the Maryland Society for Health Care Marketing and Public Relations, the new society reflects a national trend as professionals take on increasing roles as strategic thinkers for their organizations.

Why join?
An affiliate of the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development, headquartered in Chicago, the Maryland chapter hopes to build on the reputation of our former societies as an educational resource

Membership in MSHSMD can greatly enhance your success both within your organization and the community. Rising stars and seasoned professionals make up our society, which meets four to six times per year. Informational programs and seminars, first-hand knowledge of legislative changes, and the continuing support of your colleagues are among the many benefits MSHSMD offers. Members in good standing receive a directory that can serve as a valuable networking tool and access to our web site.

What are our educational opportunities?
An informative agenda of programs and master's classes is planned throughout each year. We also host the Alfred Knight Awards annually, which offers members an opportunity to share their work in several marketing categories. Members are asked to share ideas for timely topics with the program co-chairs (click here to go board listing for e-mail and phone numbers).
